ویژگی‌های فنی و مهندسی

• چسبندگی عالی: بزرگترین مزیت تراورتن نسبت به گرانیت و مرمریت، تخلخل پشت سنگ است. ملات سیمان به داخل این حفره‌ها نفوذ کرده و سنگ را به بدنه ساختمان “قفل” می‌کند. به همین دلیل ایمن‌ترین انتخاب برای نمای خارجی در ارتفاع است.
• عایق نسبی: وجود حفره‌های توخالی در لایه‌های درونی سنگ، باعث می‌شود که نسبت به سنگ‌های متراکم، عایق حرارتی و صوتی بهتری باشد.
• مقاومت در برابر شرایط جوی: این سنگ در برابر نور خورشید تغییر رنگ نمی‌دهد و مقاومت خوبی در برابر انقباض و انبساط ناشی از تغییر دما دارد.
• Technical and engineering features
  Excellent adhesion: Travertine's biggest advantage over granite and marble is the porosity behind the stone. Cement mortar penetrates into these pores and "locks" the stone to the building's body. For this reason, it is the safest choice for exterior facades at height.
  Relaxation: The presence of hollow pores in the inner layers of the stone makes it a better thermal and acoustic insulator than dense stones.
  Weather resistance: This stone does not change color in sunlight and has good resistance to contraction and expansion caused by temperature changes.
